He will be going there tml, this is considered school outing for international students. So he asked bout wad coach bag i want and everything. This surely got me excited. But im sure he will end up not buying hah ex leh.
i alr mentioned i read amelia's blog right. There was one post she said her bro who was having honeymoon in dunno where suddenly tagged her on fb. Yuan lai is her bro took a pic of all his buys and tagged the receiver. He bought amelia this v bright, abit auntie in my opinion, coach bag. Amelia damn high. He bought this gucci wallet for his mum. US or S$3500 - ya alot of diff but paiseh i cant rmb which one it is. Don't you just think that 有钱人的命 is so damn different??? Ok he bought many other smaller branded gifts which cost a bomb too definitely. Ame mentioned her father will probably faint when he sees the credit card bill at the end of the mth. Ok at least she said this, rather than sth like "The cost of these few gifts should be just peanuts to daddy." Ame always says she is v blessed, MY SENTIMENTS TOTALLY.

#2 Universities Ranking 2009

This was released on thur if im not wrong. He gave me the link and i just get more and more stunned as i scroll. Let me go thru the shocks one by one.
4th: University College London. This is the sch for cousin with the $500k scholarship she received.
17th: Australian National University. Dido and I went to this overseas unis exhibition recently and there were so many unis to choose from. We dun even know which are the gd ones or if all are bad! This uni ranking came a tad too late la, if only it was released last week. So this is the second best uni we saw there. We also saw University of Pennsylvania (12th) there. But it's in UK and we found it far and hence ex, so we didnt consider UK unis. Coincidentally, bro was also suggesting this sch to me, cos he has frens there.
18th: Mcgill University. Bro doesnt even know he is currently studying in the best uni in canada and 18th uni in the world!!! When he told his new found frens he is from NUS, they just huh and have never heard of that before, just like we have never heard of Mcgill before. He admits that he and his frens are quite stressed that, worse than NUS. But they certainly do feel proud when in the campus, cos ya its the best uni there.
24th: University of Hong Kong. Another sch bro suggested to me. Honestly i like this u know!! Cos (i am assuming) hongkongers dont speak good english, easy for me to talk to them, i can understand cantonese, i have a gd buddy chun there, i have relatives there (not close tho, simply cos they dun live in spore and we seldom/nv met), not high standard of living, family likes the country.
30th: NUS! Not bad right!!! You know i tot smu was the best in singapore but it wasnt found in the ranking at all!!!
31st: Brown Uni 36th: Uni of Sydney and Uni of Melbourne 41st: Uni of Queensland 45th: Monash Uni 47th: Uni of New South Wales - Ok these are the next best unis dido and i saw. They are good, of cos we feel like going there to study. But honestly, it's only for the rich to do so. Dido and I started started 'blaming' our parents for being 井底之蛙s and not telling us bout this and letting us go uni straight after Os - yes these unis are actually meant for sec4 students!!
47th: Seoul National Uni :DD Best Korean uni. So cool. Anws this is just for me to daydream about.
52nd: New York Uni (NYU) Xiaotian's sch in case u dunno. I have never heard of the sch, and she keeps saying how gd that sch is and how happy she is to get into this sch. It is also surveyed to be the most desired sch of UK students or sth. Recently in her blog she mentioned this,
"why do nanyang technological university, centre for IT SE keep appearing in my statcounter,fricking cant stand that school. i was even suggested to transfer to that school if i really want to get married. hell no, i would rather not get married ah!
NYU TO NTU. are you joking me?"
i was like, wth she say until like that. wth is NYU? really that gd meh??? My impression of the sch is that it's a slack and nth special sch. Now that i see its ranking, i was really shockeddd. So its not just a sch with a nice name!!! Pls lo even xiaotian herself also always says how cmi her results are. When she said she got into the sch even before we got our As results, i tot this uni anyhow one. I was looking at the costs of studying overseas... Quite horrifying. BUT. Experience wise, it seems worth it, no? You only live once, maybe now's the time to experience life outside ALONE.

Even at montreal, bro catches this on youtube still! He alr watched up till the ep before finals. OMG FINALS!!! SO FREAKING EXCITING LA!!! Sad thing is junwen is most likely last, and ziyou will most prob be the winner this time round omgosh exciting!

Next up is just random things, both sad and happy, from this week.
1. I borrowed my mum's ezlink. I put it in my pocket AND IT DROPPED AND IS GONE. Worth $12. Only realised its gone when i was getting ready to leave the staff room for the classroom. No words can describe how much i panicked. ): Literally searched high and low. Walked round and round the staffroom, to the classes i went, toilets, canteen, checked with GO too. V saddening.
I left the children in the classroom to do work and went to search. Will die if i was caught doing that. 1C has so many adorable kids but still i cldnt smile and i just looked so down and fierce thruout the lesson. Screamed at them so many times. The tot of this now makes me so upset. ))): How could i have done that??? ))): They were alr rather well behaved. The monitor looks dashing when he is just 7 years old.
2. This week i rejected greenview twice. Sth bad happened between greenview and I, long story, i dunno if they will call me still in future )): When is the last paper of Nlevels? Pls dun let it end so soon. i really miss the sec 4 normal pupils, and the sec 3s of cos. )):
3. The tuition i had with Aloy on the night before her math paper 1 was the best we ever had (: She is less dao alr, i think in the past i was too, thats y she was dao when she usually is a bubbly siao girl. Teaching her that night made me quite worried cos its apparent she ain't ready for her math paper tml... And how can u read answers when u do math?? $20 per hour is considered cheap but still i feel damn guilty when the next day she texted me,"Confirm fail. Left many blanks." Ya that night we can talk like we are frens for many yrs. Cos i have done greenview's 08 exam with many sec 3 classes that time (hah cute chinyuan (: ) so i 'memorised' the paper quite well alr.

"HAHAH YA YA YA!!!" First time she laughed rather madly in front of me and looked at me when talking to me.
Mon is their math and chem paper 2. She asked me to teach her and her fren tgt, i said ok. But ar they like slack on weekends, might end up not studying... -.-
4. Joanna is a new fren found this week (: She is 19 too. From SRJC, cant get into uni like me, now a contract tcher at EPPS. She taught 2R for 2.5 wks then passed on 2R to me for another 4 days before their tcher is back. Then she proceeded to take over 2U, whose hip tcher is leaving to further her studies. She lovessss 2R, ya surely la after teaching for so long. I alr have 2K in my heart so 2R doesnt appear cute to me. The four days of teaching 2R wasnt v happy - i must learn to 'let go of the past and treasure the present'. I may be expressionless when looking at 2R but when 2K walks past, waving, "hello miss loh!!!", their smiles make me smile ((:
Celine's birthday party during recess on Fri. I purposely went down later, i dunno why. Jo was alr there, snapping away with her fav kids. Helped her take with the kids, i took one with her, me looking SO UGLY and she as photogenic.
V: Miss Huang can i have the photo also?"
J: ok i will tag u on fb ok!"
Reminded me that on the first day we met, jo asked wads my fb, i said i dun have and she was so shocked! HAH.
Vincent later also asked, "Miss loh can i add u on fb?"
"But i dun have fb..."
"You dun have? really? Why you dun have?"
Kids are so curious and always ask a million why-s (on stupid things most of the time) and this is the major reason why i prefer sec to pri.
Celine's mum made awesome nuggets!! no cake but she made not very nice cupcakes. Self service 3 mini toblerones (MY FAV!). Her mum carries a gucci handbag and her fren, maybe celine's relative, wore so little clothes hah.
Me: Eh let's not waste food. The kids didnt finish the nuggets. Let's eat for them. AMANDA I EAT UR NUGGET OK!!
A: OK!!!! THAT ONE I HAVEN TOUCH YET!!
Me: You eat Aaron's ok...
J: hahaa ok u v cute leh!
Celine's mum gave me chrysanthemum tea and jo winter melon.
but i prefer winter melon and din dare to ask jo to exchange, but eventually i did.
Me: Do u mind exchanging drinks?
J: OKOK! i dun like winter melon! Hah u dun like chrysanthemum?
Me: YA!!
Such conversations, having no age gap, helping each other get chairs when sitting in the hall, are the reasons why we can talk rather comfortably to each other, hope there will be no awkwardness when we next meet. She's such a nice person, who seem to feel so sad for me when i said i lost my ezlink and even asked if i have enough coins before we go separate ways ((: But we will clique even better if she's more chi-na hah.
Best lesson learnt this week:
Life aint always smooth-sailing and when shit happens, I have to calm down and think of a solution. I mustn't vent my frustrations on the innocent - always do that to the parents at home and this week i did it to the 1C kids. )):
When no solution works - the thief just has no integrity to return the ezlink to the GO, i will have to accept that this is life, i must let it go! Or perhaps it's a lesson by God to punish me from taking the two red and green pens from 2P's lost and found drawer cos i cant bear to spend money on wad bro and i need badly - red pens.
BUT EH ITS A MESSY DRAWER WITH SO MUCH STATIONERY THAT NO ONE CLAIMS!! And every classroom has this kind of drawer, wad if end of the yr they just throw everything away!! Ok shan't argue. I took things that dont belong to me and that's not right. AND I LOST JOANNA'S MARKER AND I HAVE NO COURAGE TO TELL HER!!!! )):

Nowadays i tend to feel bored even more easily. Tho i taught 5days and 1 tuition this week, i feel so free and i dun like it.....
